Overview
The Graduate Diploma in Education offered from 2017 does not meet the requirements for teacher registration.
The program provides a systematic study of issues in education such as learning and motivation; the social context of education; and student-teacher interaction. Students may undertake studies in curriculum areas related to their undergraduate qualifications.
The Graduate Diploma in Education is an AQF Level 8 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 1 year.

There shall be a Graduate Diploma in Education.
Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the Graduate Diploma in Education, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of:
- Core courses to the value of 12 units
- Curriculum and Methodology courses to the value of 12 units

Curriculum and Methodology Courses
To satisfy the requirements for Curriculum and Methodology Courses students must complete courses to the value of 12 units.
Students must complete courses from two teaching areas, to the value of 12 units, which may include up to 6 units from the General Curriculum and Methodology courses as approved by the School.
