Overview

The Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Honours) is open to suitably qualified students who wish to undertake further studies in their specialisation.
The Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Honours) is an AQF Level 8 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 1 year.


 

Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Honours)

There shall be a Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Honours).

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences (Honours), a student must complete satisfactorily a program of study from one of the following specialisations with a combined total of not less than 24 units, comprising:
 
One major to the value of 24 units from the following:

  •  Acute Care Medicine
  • Anatomical Sciences
  • General Practice
  • Medicine
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopaedics and Trauma
  • Paediatrics
  • Pathology
  • Pharmacology
  • Physiology
  • Psychiatry
  • Public Health
  • Rural Health
  • Surgery
