Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security (Secure Software) is designed to meet the demand for cyber security professionals in public, NGO, law enforcement, and commercial sectors. It provides a strong analytical framework to understand the challenges, problems and solutions of cyber security from a computer science perspective. Students will develop technical knowledge and learn to apply this through the development of secure programming, networks and operating systems. It provides a pathway, and advanced standing, to further learning in the Master of Cyber Security.
The Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security (Secure Software) is an AQF Level 8 program with a standard full-time duration of 0.5 years
Conditions
Conditions of Enrolment
1. Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Executive Dean or delegate before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.Academic Program Rules for Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security (Secure Software)
There shall be a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security (Secure Software).
Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security (Secure Software) the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements wit a combined total of not less than 12 units, comprising:
- Core courses to the value of 3 units
- Elective courses to the value of 9 units.

To satisfy the requirements for Cyber Security (Secure Software) students must complete courses to the value of 12 units.
