Overview
This is a flexible business degree designed to prepare students for a range of careers in business, industry or government. The program provides a foundation for career paths in such commercial areas as accounting, international business, marketing, management and corporate finance. All students will complete a common program at Level I before specialising at Level II and III.
All students have the opportunity to undertake electives as internships and study tours to further develop an international perspective and global citizenship capabilities.
The Bachelor of Commerce is an AQF level 7 program with a standard full-time duration of 3 years.
Conditions
Condition of Enrolment
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Faculty before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.
Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Commerce
There shall be a Bachelor of Commerce.
Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Commerce, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 72 units, comprising:
- Level I courses not exceeding 30 units
- Core courses to the value of 24 units
- At least one Commerce major from the following:
- Accounting
- Corporate Finance
- International Business
- Management
- Marketing
- Accounting and Corporate Finance Double Major
- Students may choose to undertake an approved minor from the following:
- Entrepreneurship

To satisfy the requirements for Elective Courses students must adhere to the following:
Students must complete Elective Courses as follows. All students must include 9 units of Broadening Electives, except where the Accounting and Corporate Finance Double Major is presented. Courses completed as a part of the Entrepreneurship Minor count towards Elective Courses.
Accounting Major
Complete Electives to the value of 18 units which must include at least 6 units of Level III courses from Electives.
Corporate Finance
Complete Electives to the value of 21 units which must include at least 6 units of Level III Courses from Electives.
Management Major
Complete Electives to the value of 27 units which must include at least 6 units of Level III Courses from Electives.
Marketing Major
