Overview
The Bachelor of Business Management introduces students to organisations as systems. All students will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to administer and coordinate an organisation's resources in ways that enable it to achieve its strategic goals within a systems framework. In the first year of the degree, students gain the background necessary for a career in business. Core courses include accounting, economics and business statistics; and an introduction to organisations and management. In subsequent years, the focus is on developing the technical, human and social skills required for business management. Additionally students develop advanced analytical and decision-making skills needed for leadership roles. Alongside the professional knowledge and skills, students have the opportunity to enhance their critical thinking, communication skills and reflective practice. Graduates will be career ready for the business world of today and have the interpersonal skills to adapt to the demands of a future economy.
