Overview
The Bachelor of Sociology (Honours) is a one year program that includes advanced coursework and a research project in which students produce an extended piece of work (thesis) on a topic chosen in consultation with an academic supervisor.
The Bachelor of Sociology (Honours) is an AQF Level 8 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 1 year.
Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Sociology (Honours)
There shall be a Bachelor of Sociology (Honours).
Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Sociology (Honours), the student must complete satisfactorily an area of research (major) with a combined total of not less than 24 units, comprising core courses to the value of 24 units.
