Overview
The Master of Materials Engineering is designed to meet the demand of future engineering challenges, by delivering the next generation education for design, process, and application of new and advanced materials with cutting-edge properties. The development of this program is underpinned by industrial and societal need for optimal efficiency, affordability and sustainability of these new materials. The program will provide a strong theoretical, practical and analytical framework to understand the challenges, problems and solutions of energy & catalysis materials, optical materials and quantum materials. The new program will offer a unique opportunity for local and international students to continue their education at a postgraduate level in a highly sophisticated and specialised field that is aimed at both advanced materials in traditional applications, and the development of cutting-edge industrial technologies that embrace functional nanomaterials.
The Master of Materials Engineering is an AQF Level 9 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 2 years.
Conditions
Condition of Enrolment
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Faculty before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.
