Overview

The Master of Science (Ecotourism) enables students to recognize, evaluate, research and develop the potential of future ecotourism areas.

This science based program will equip graduates with the skills required to recognize and evaluate the potential of future ecotourism areas, as well as to research and develop tours and interpretative materials to support visitor enjoyment.   Students will develop a broad understanding of the relevant underlying science in addition to advanced knowledge through specialisations in either nature based tourism or geotourism.

The Master of Science (Ecotourism) is an AQF Level 9 Masters Conversion qualification with a standard full-time duration of 2 years.

Conditions

Condition of Continuing Enrolment:  A student must complete all of the coursework before commencing the research project.

Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Executive Dean or delegate before taking a Leave of Absence.
