Overview

The Bachelor of Corporate Finance provides students with a solid foundation in the tools and techniques that financial managers use to make investment and financing decisions and how they use financial instruments and capital markets to enhance returns and manage risks. The program introduces management theory, business mathematics, business law and economics; additionally students develop advanced analytical and decision-making skills needed for leadership roles. Alongside the professional knowledge and skills, students have the opportunity to enhance their critical thinking, communication skills and reflective practice. Graduates will be career ready for the business world of today and have the interpersonal skills to adapt to the demands of a future economy.

The Bachelor of Corporate Finance is an AQF Level 7 programs with a standard full-time duration of 3 years.

Conditions

Condition of Enrolment
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Faculty before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Corporate Finance

There shall be a Bachelor of Corporate Finance.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Corporate Finance, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study not less than 72 units, comprising:

  1. Core courses to the value of 27 units
  2. A major in Corporate Finance to the value of 27 units
  3. Elective courses to the value of 18 units which may include at least one minor as listed below or any other undergraduate courses offered by the University that are available to the student.

Students may choose to undertake at least one Minor to the value of 12 units from the following:
  • Accounting
  • Business Management
  • Creativity & Critical Thinking
  • Economics
  • Entrepreneurship
  • International Business
  • Management Consulting
  • Marketing
  • Marketing in South Australia
  • Organisational Cybersecurity
  • Project Management
