Overview

The Diploma in Music is designed for students wishing to 'test the waters' with University level study and allows the flexibility to use as an entry pathway into the Bachelor of Music. This program consists of studies in Contemporary Music and Technology Studies, Ensemble Studies, and Music and Media Studies.

The Diploma in Music is an AQF Level 5 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 1 year full-time.

Conditions

Condition of enrolment
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Program Coordinator before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

Academic Program Rules for Diploma in Music

There shall be a Diploma in Music.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the Diploma in Music the student must satisfactorily complete a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 24 units as follows:

  1. Core courses to the value of 15 units
  2. Elective courses to the value of 9 units
