Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science postgraduate coursework program delivering a course in adult restorative therapy for dental and oral health therapists.The Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science will allow students to complete studies in Adult Therapy.
The Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science is an AQF Level 8 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 0.5 years.

Conditions

Prescribed Communicable Infection Clearance: Students must comply with the Students With Prescribed Communicable Infections Policy (www.adelaide.edu.au/policies/591).

Immunisation: Immunisation records are requested by clinical venues prior to placements.
Student and Professional Registration: Student accepted into the program are required to be registered with the relevant regulatory authority.

Uniform: During clinical placements students are required to comply with professional dress standards.

Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Head of School before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without the approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

Academic Program Rules for Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science

There shall be a Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following courses with a combined total of not less than 12 units:

  1. Core courses to the value of 6 units
  2. Work based training / extra mural studies to the value of 6 units

    To satisfy the requirements for Core Courses students must complete courses to the value of 6 units.

    Courses to the value of up to 6 units may be taken from the following:
