Overview

The Bachelor of Media (Honours) is a one year program that includes advanced coursework and a research project in which students produce an extended piece of work (research dissertation) on a topic chosen in consultation with an academic supervisor.

The Bachelor of Media (Honours) is an AQF Level 8 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 1 year.
 

Conditions

Condition of enrolment
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Program Coordinator before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Media (Honours)

There shall be a Bachelor of Media (Honours).

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Media (Honours), the student must complete satisfactorily an area of research (major) with a combined total of not less than 24 units, comprising:

  1. Core courses to the value of 24 units

    To satisfy the requirements for Media Honours students must complete courses to the value of 24 units.

    Core Courses

    Courses to the value of 12 units from the following:
