Overview
The Associate Degree in Construction Management is a program of study which students undertake to develop project management skills with a focus on the application of technology in construction. The program is designed and structured to provide career and management ready graduates for the construction and infrastructure industries.
Students will acquire a sound foundation of knowledge in civil construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and engineering construction management. The program offers a compact structure which covers essential knowledge and skills in construction, project management and BIM with a strong focus of applying technology in construction and management techniques specific to the construction industry.
The Associate Degree in Construction Management is an AQF Level 6 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 2 years.
Conditions
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Faculty before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.
Academic Program Rules for Associate Degree in Construction Management (AssDegConMgt)
There shall be a Associate Degree in Construction Management (AssDegConMgt).
Qualification Requirements
Academic Program
To qualify for the degree of Associate Degree in Construction Management, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following courses with a combined total of not less than 48 units, comprising:
- Level I courses to a maximum of 24 units
- Level II courses to a maximum of 24 units
