Overview

This is a flexible business degree designed to prepare students for a range of careers in business, industry or government. The program provides a foundation for career paths in such commercial areas as accounting, international business, marketing, management and corporate finance. All students will complete a common program at Level I before specialising at Level II and III.
All students have the opportunity to undertake electives as internships and study tours to further develop an international perspective and global citizenship capabilities.
The Bachelor of Commerce is an AQF level 7 program with a standard full-time duration of 3 years.

Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Commerce

There shall be a Bachelor of Commerce.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the degree of Bachelor of Commerce, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 72 units, comprising:

  1. Level I courses not exceeding 30 units
  2. Core courses to the value of 24 units
  3. At least one Commerce major from the following:
    • Accounting
    • Corporate Finance
    • International Business
    • Management
    • Marketing
    • Accounting and Corporate Finance Double Major
  4. Students may choose to undertake an approved minor from the following:
    • Entrepreneurship

    To satisfy the requirements for Entrepreneurship Minor students must complete courses to the value of 18 units.
