Overview

Students are able to undertake a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws concurrently. Students enrolled in these programs will be granted credit towards each program in accordance with University policy.

Conditions

Condition of Enrolment

Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Faculty before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science

There shall be a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the double degree of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 120 units. A student must concurrently qualify for both awards:

  1. Courses to the value of 48 units from the Bachelor of Science including Level I courses to the value of 12 units, Level II courses to the value of 12 units and Level III courses to the value of 24 units, including a major in a Science discipline
  2. Science majors may be presented from the following:
    Biochemistry
    Botany
    Chemistry
    Ecology
    Geology
    Geophysics and Applied Geology
    Genetics
    Microbiology and Immunology
    Molecular and Biomedical Science
    Physics
    Theoretical Physics
    Soil Science
    Zoology
    or a double major from:
    Chemistry
    Ecology and Spatial Science
    Experimental and Theoretical Physics
