These Program Rules should be read in conjunction with the University's policies (https://www.adelaide.edu.au/policies).
Overview
The program aims to stimulate students to think creatively about the social, cultural, economic and environmental determinants of health and illness in populations and about the organisation and delivery of public health services, including policies and practices that support and improve the health of people.
There are two specialisations. The Public Health specialisation is intended to equip graduates for careers in public health or to broaden the public health orientation of their current work for those with established careers.
The Population Oral Health specialisation equips graduates with the knowledge and skills they will need to think creatively about the many individual, family, community, environmental and dental system factors associated with the oral health of populations.
The Master of Public Health is an AQF Level 9 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 2 years.
