Overview
This program provides students with the opportunity to specialise in Ecotourism. This science based program will equip graduates with the skills required to recognize and evaluate the potential of future ecotourism areas, as well as to develop tours and interpretative materials to support visitor enjoyment. Students will develop a broad understanding of the relevant science in addition to more detailed knowledge through majors in either nature based tourism (flora and fauna) or geotourism (geology and paleontology)
The Bachelor of Science (Ecotourism) is an AQF Level 7 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 3 years.
Conditions
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Executive Dean or delegate before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.
Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Science (Ecotourism)
There shall be a Bachelor of Science (Ecotourism).
