Overview
The Bachelor of Information Technology will provide graduates with a foundation in the application of computer-based technologies and systems to meet individual and organisational information needs. The program will enable students to gain the knowledge and skills needed to use IT effectively and to use, develop and manage IT-based systems. IT is an area of continual growth as it drives innovation and assists us to solve problems in areas such as medical research, the environment, and business.
In this program, students will undertake core courses that will provide a solid foundation in IT, network, database, programming fundamentals, systems analysis, professional skills and project management. Students will then tailor their studies by choosing from a variety of elective courses as well as a major. A significant capstone project combines skills developed across the program.
The Bachelor of Information Technology is an AQF Level 7 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 3 years.
