Overview

This program provides students with the opportunity to complete the coursework required by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) for accreditation as a medical physicist. All students should be aware that this program has non-standard admission requirements and they should contact the School of Physical Sciences for further information.

The Graduate Certificate in Medical Physics is an AQF Level 8 program with a standard full-time duration of 0.5 years and is only offered part-time over 2 years.

Conditions

Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Executive Dean or delegate before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

Academic Program Rules for Graduate Certificate in Medical Physics

There shall be a Graduate Certificate in Medical Physics.

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the Graduate Certificate in Medical Physics, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 12 units, comprising:

  1. Core courses to the value of 12 units

    To satisfy the requirements for Core Courses students must complete courses to the value of 12 units.
