Overview

The Master of Cyber Security [online] will provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to apply Cyber Security principles and understand relevant governance, legal and policy considerations. With a 6-unit research based project, the program provides opportunity for deep application within a domain of the student's preference.

The Master of Cyber Security [online] is an AQF Level 9 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 2 years.

Conditions

Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Faculty before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

There shall be a Master of Cyber Security [Online].

Qualification Requirements

To qualify for the degree of Master of Cyber Security [online] the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following courses with a combined total of not less than 36 units, comprising:
1. Core Courses to the value of 27 units
2. Students without a programming background are required to take COMP SCI 7210OL Foundations of Computer Science - Python A in lieu of POLIS 7024OL Political Institutions and Policy-Making
3. Research Courses to the value of 9 units comprising a Research Methods course and a Research Project
