Overview

The Diploma in Technology (Defence Industries) is designed to meet future workforce needs in defence industries. The program is designed to develop key skills and knowledge across multiple disciplines to deliver a unique set of attributes sought after by defence industries. This program builds a sound foundation of engineering science and develops skills to identify, analyse and solve complex problems. It provides a pathway, and advanced standing, to further learning in the Bachelor of Technology (Defence Industries).

The Diploma in Technology (Defence Industries) is an AQF Level 5 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 1 year.
 

Conditions

Condition of Enrolment
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Faculty before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.

There shall be a Diploma in Technology (Defence Industries) .

Qualification Requirements
Academic Program: 

To qualify for the degree of Diploma in Technology (Defence Industries), the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 24 units, comprising:

  1. Core courses to the value of 24 units.

To satisfy the requirements for Diploma in Technology (Defence Industries) students must complete courses to the value of 24 units.
