Conditions
Condition of enrolment
Interruption of program: Students must apply for permission from the Executive Dean or delegate before taking a Leave of Absence. Any extension of the leave without approval will result in the loss of place in the program but an application may be made to be re-admitted to the program subject to the admission procedures in place at the time.
Academic Program Rules for Bachelor of Arts with Bachelor of Economics
There shall be a Bachelor of Arts with Bachelor of Economics.
Qualification Requirements
A student who undertakes the Bachelor of Arts with Bachelor of Economics may count a maximum of 24 units towards both degrees, satisfying the requirements for the two degrees with a minimum total of 96 units (or 4 years) of study.
- Courses to the value of 48 units from the Bachelor of Arts including:
- One major to the value of 24 units (or 33 units for the Psychology major or 27 units for the Mathematical Sciences major)
- A course chosen from the Core Competency List to the value of 3 units
- Electives courses up to 21 units
- Level I courses to the value of at least 12 units.
- Level II and Level III courses to the value of at least 36 units, including the 6 unit capstone for the chosen major.
- Courses to the value of 48 units from the Bachelor of Economics including:
- Level I courses to the value of 12 units
- Level II courses to the value of 12 units
- Level III courses to the value of 24 units

To satisfy the requirements for Core Competency Courses students must complete courses to the value of 3 units.

Students cannot cross-count the ARTS Core Competency course with any other program requirements, including program core courses, majors, minors, or elective lists.
