Overview

The Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security is designed to meet the demand for cyber security professionals in public, NGO, law enforcement, and commercial sectors. It provides a strong analytical framework to understand the challenges, problems and solutions of cyber security from technical and non-technical perspectives. Students will develop technical knowledge and learn to apply this through technical and organisational perspectives to provide cyber security expertise to organisations. It provides a pathway, and advanced standing, to further learning in the Master of Cyber Security.

The Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security is an AQF Level 8 program with a standard full-time duration of 1 year.

Academic Program Rules for Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security

There shall be a Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security.

Qualification Requirements
Academic Program: 

To qualify for the Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 24 units, comprising:

  1. Core courses to the value of 12 units
  2. Elective courses to the value of 12 units
  3. Unless exempted international students are required to take ELEC ENG 7057 Communication & Critical Thinking in lieu of an elective.
Core Courses

To satisfy the requirements for Core Courses students must complete courses to the value of 12 units.

All of the following courses must be completed:
