Overview
The Master of Cyber Security is designed to meet the demand for cyber security professionals in a variety of sectors. It provides a strong analytical framework to understand the challenges, problems and solutions of cyber security from technical and non-technical perspectives. Students will develop technical knowledge and learn to apply this through technical and organisational perspectives to provide cyber security expertise to organisations. Students will elect to undertake either a research project or an industry-based project.
The Master of Cyber Security is an AQF Level 9 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 2 years.
Academic Program Rules for Master of Cyber Security
There shall be a Master of Cyber Security.
Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the degree of Master of Cyber Security the student must complete a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 48 units, comprising:
- Core Courses to the value of 12 units
- A research or industry project to the value of 12 units
- Electives to the value of 24 units
- Unless exempted international students are required to take ELEC ENG 7057 Communications & Critical Thinking in lieu of an elective
