Overview

The Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree qualifies students to apply a body of economic knowledge to work as a professional economist or pursue further research-oriented postgraduate study. The Bachelor of Economics (Honours) requires an additional year of advanced study after an undergraduate degree program. Students are admitted on the basis of outstanding academic achievement in their undergraduate degree, normally a Bachelor of Economics (Advanced). The additional year involves specialised study, research and, under the guidance of a research supervisor, the submission of a research dissertation.

The Bachelor of Economics (Honours) is an AQF Level 8 qualification with a standard full-time duration of 1year.
